WAYPOINT 04 can offer different types of fish to go after; mackeral and bluefin tuna.

Bluefin Tuna
If you are a true angler at heart you will not be disoppointed. Way Point 04 is offering a hook and release fishery commencing July 25 2010. In the summer of 2010 I had 4 tuna charters and we went 4 for 4, everyone went home satisified. Fish will range in size from 500 pounds to 1200 pounds, round weight. When the rod goes off the adrenilin gets a pumping.

The two main areas that we will be fishing is what the locals call Maclouds Ledge and the High Bottom. Both areas are where herring go to do their spawning and the giant bluefin tuna go to fatten up. If this year is anything like the last 7 or 8 years, and I think it will be, its tuna fishing heaven. If the commercial fishery for bluefin is open at the time we will be allowed to land the fish. Still waiting on a decision by the P.E.I. fleet.
